Lommel SK bid farewell to Mohamed Salah as he completes his transfer to Casa Pia. The 22-year-old forward moves to the Portuguese Primeira Liga, where he will continue his career with the Lisbon-based club. Salah joined Lommel SK in the summer of 2024 and quickly established himself as an exciting attacking player under then-head coach Steve Bould, making an immediate impact with important goals and assists.
Over two seasons, Salah made 67 appearances for Groen-Wit, scoring twelve goals and providing eleven assists. He also played an important role in the club's promotion to the Jupiler Pro League, delivering the cross for Ralf Seuntjens' crucial equaliser in the promotion play-off against FCV Dender EH.
Sporting Director Jeffrey van As commented on Salah's departure: "Over the past two seasons, Mohamed has shown that he possesses great technical ability and can make a difference for the team in important moments. He now has the opportunity to continue his career at the highest level in Portugal, which is a great step for him. We would like to thank Mohamed for his commitment and the important goals he scored for Lommel SK, and we wish him every success at Casa Pia."
