Mattijs Manders to step down as CEO of Lommel SK Men 10 aug Lommel SK announces that Mattijs Manders will step down as Chief Executive Officer of the Club. The Dutchman will leave Lommel SK after two seasons in charge.
Mattijs Manders will step down as Chief Executive Officer of Lommel SK. Since joining Lommel SK, Manders has contributed towards the continued growth and professionalisation of the Club, both on and off the pitch.

During his tenure, Lommel SK achieved promotion to the Jupiler Pro League, while also making significant progress in its sporting structure, infrastructure and day-to-day operations. Mattijs also played a role in the realisation of the new City Football Academy Lommel, that was opened in November 2025.

Mattijs Manders on his decision: “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I have been given within City Football Group and proud of what we have achieved together at Lommel SK. With promotion to the Jupiler Pro League and a strong foundation in place for the future, I feel this is the right moment for me to hand over the keys and take on a new challenge closer to home. I would like to thank everyone at Lommel SK and across City Football Group for their trust, support and collaboration, and I wish the Club every success for the future.”

City Football Group Chief Operating Officer Ingo Bank added: “Everyone at City Football Group would like to extend their gratitude to Mattijs for his commitment and leadership over multiple years with the organisation. He has led Lommel SK through one of the most historic seasons in the Club’s history, during which we opened the doors of CFA Lommel, and which culminated in our return to the top level of Belgian football. We wish Mattijs the very best for the future.”

Nick Rondelez, Corporate Service Director of Lommel SK, will assume the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer to ensure continuity in the club's daily operations.

Further information regarding the appointment of the new Chief Executive Officer will be communicated in due course.
