Stredair Appuah is the latest addition to the Lommel SK squad. The 22-year-old winger arrives on loan from Palermo FC and links up immediately with Lee Johnson's squad. The Frenchman, who has Ghanaian roots, came through the youth academies of Fulham, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Nantes, before signing for Palermo in 2024. Last season, Appuah spent the campaign on loan at Valenciennes FC, where he made 42 appearances and scored seven goals. Earlier in pre-season, he also spent time training with Lommel SK.
Sporting Director Jeffrey van As commented on the arrival of Appuah: "With Stredair, we have secured the attacking reinforcement we were looking for. We had the opportunity to see him in action earlier in pre-season, and he made a very positive impression. We are convinced that Stredair is a perfect fit for our team and will bring the attacking quality we need in the Jupiler Pro League."
Stredair Appuah is looking forward to the new season in Lommel: "Belgian football, and Lommel SK in particular, are well known for giving young players the opportunity to gain valuable first-team experience. I'm therefore delighted to be joining the club this season. The facilities are excellent, and the players have made me feel welcome from day one. I'm looking forward to rejoining the group and getting the season underway."
