Rubin Seigers Appointed First Team Operations Manager Men 23 jun Lommel SK has appointed a new First Team Operations Manager. Rubin Seigers has decided to retire from professional football and will immediately take up the role within the club.
Lommel SK and Rubin Seigers have reached an agreement on a new position within the organisation. The former defender becomes the club’s new First Team Operations Manager. Thanks to his professionalism, commitment and knowledge, he is seen as the ideal person to act as a link between the players, coaching staff and the wider organisation. Seigers succeeds Carla Mota-Sanchez, who leaves the club this summer after four years of dedicated service.

Alongside his new role as First Team Operations Manager, Seigers will remain involved in the sporting project. The Limburg native will join Jong Lommel, where he will use his experience to help guide and develop the club’s young talents.

Sporting Director Jeffrey van As is pleased with the appointment: “Over the past year, Rubin has distinguished himself as a true professional and someone who perfectly embodies the values of our club. We are therefore delighted that he will remain with the club in a new capacity. At the same time, we would like to thank Carla for her tremendous commitment over the past four years. She has done an incredible amount of work behind the scenes for Lommel SK, and we wish her all the best in the next chapter of her career.”

Rubin Seigers is also looking forward to his new challenge: “It was not an easy decision to retire from professional football, but I am incredibly happy to remain at Lommel SK. This club feels like home, and I am excited to contribute in a different role. I also think it’s fantastic that I will be able to pass on my experience to the young players at Jong Lommel as they begin their careers.”
