Top scorer Ralf Seuntjens extends contract with Lommel SK Men 27 may Lommel SK and Ralf Seuntjens have reached an agreement on the extension of the striker’s expiring contract. The 37-year-old Dutchman made a huge impression at the Soevereinstadion this season and will also represent LSK in the Jupiler Pro League next season.
Ralf Seuntjens’ contract has been extended by one season. The 37-year-old striker joined Lommel on a free transfer last summer and quickly became one of the team’s key players. In 38 matches, ‘The Seun of God’ scored 20 goals and also provided 10 assists. For a long time, it earned him the golden Pro League logo as the top scorer of the Challenger Pro League. In the end, he narrowly missed out on that title, but he did help secure the long-awaited promotion to the Jupiler Pro League.

“I’m very happy to stay at Lommel for next season,” said Seuntjens. “The club and the supporters gave me a warm welcome and made me feel at home from day one. That’s something I personally appreciate a lot. I arrived as a mentor and finished the season as top scorer, which I honestly didn’t expect myself. At my age, I mainly want to enjoy my career as much as possible, and I truly enjoy my football here at Lommel. I’m looking forward to giving it everything again next season with this great club, at the highest level!”

Jeffrey van As, Sporting Director of Lommel SK, explained the decision to keep the 37-year-old striker at the club: “Ralf was brought in last summer as a mentor and target man. But he fought his way into the starting line-up and eventually became our main striker, resulting in 20 goals. It shows exactly what kind of person Ralf is: hardworking, positive about the future and always striving to improve every single day. That’s what we stand for as a club as well, so extending his contract was never a discussion for us. Ralf will also be of great value in the Jupiler Pro League.”
