Koki Saito leaves Lommel SK to join Queens Park Rangers on a permanent deal. LSK loaned the 24-year-old to the London club last season, where he has now signed a full contract. Saito joined Lommel in the winter of 2021 from Yokohama FC and went on to make 32 appearances in Groen-Wit, scoring six goals. From 2022 onwards, the Japanese attacker spent two seasons on loan at Sparta Rotterdam, followed by last season at Queens Park Rangers.Sporting Director Jeffrey van As on Saito’s transfer: “Over the past three years, Koki has developed into a player who can perform at a very high level. Over the past weeks he was back training with our group, which reminded us once again of his quality and his character. We are proud to see him move on to a club in the Championship, but we will truly miss him both as a player and as a person. We thank Koki for his contribution to our club and wish him all the best in England!”
