Matthias Pieklak has signed a two-year contract extension with Lommel SK. The 18-year-old goalkeeper was already tied to the Soevereinstadion until mid-2027, but two additional years have now been added. The Limburg native previously played in Lommel SK’s youth academy between 2015 and 2017, before moving on to RSC Anderlecht and KRC Genk. He returned to Lommel in 2024. Last season, Pieklak made 18 appearances for LSK, getting five clean sheets. He also featured in several international matches for Belgium U19.
“Last year, I deliberately chose to return to Lommel,” said the young goalkeeper. “Even though we had a challenging season on the pitch, I really enjoyed playing for Lommel SK again. Extending my contract was an easy decision. I’m very happy here and excited to take the next steps in my development with this beautiful club!”
Sporting director Jeffrey van As is also very pleased that Pieklak will remain at LSK longer: “Of course, we’re very happy that Matthias has extended his contract by two years. He developed strongly over the past season and fits perfectly within the vision and ambitions of our club. We’re looking forward to continuing his growth at Lommel SK.”
