Lommel in the Community has been rewarded by the Pro League for the past season with another three-star FSR label. Each year, the Pro League evaluates the social efforts of its clubs based on three pillars: the social policy plan, the activities carried out over the past year, and the approach to key themes such as sustainability, inclusion, accessibility and safeguarding. Based on this evaluation, a score is assigned, expressed as a label from one to five stars. Lommel SK achieved the second-highest score among all clubs in the Challenger Pro League last season.
“Thanks to a strong and ambitious policy plan and a wide range of social initiatives, we have once again secured three stars,” said Mattijs Manders, CEO of Lommel SK, proudly. “This not only confirms our social relevance but also encourages us to continue investing in the power of football as a catalyst for connection, health, opportunity, and community building.”
Kevin van Rompay, Community Football Manager at Lommel SK, is also proud that their efforts have again been rewarded with an excellent rating: “This recognition confirms the good work we have delivered over the past years. It shows that our efforts on and off the pitch make a real difference. Together with our partners, volunteers, and participants, we are building a club at the heart of society.”
