Lommel SK has agreed to Garry’s move to Norwich City FC. The former Arsenal and Bournemouth defender joined Lommel in January 2024 as assistant to then-head coach Steve Bould. When Bould returned to England earlier this year, Garry stepped in as interim head coach.
Sporting Director Jeffrey van As on Garry’s departure: “Ryan has experienced just about everything in the past year and a half – a promotion final and a relegation battle. In a difficult period he had the courage to step forward as interim head coach before Lee arrived. Now he has a fantastic opportunity in his home country at a great club playing at a high level, and we wholeheartedly wish him well.”
Ryan Garry expressed his gratitude for his time in Belgium: “I am extremely thankful to Lommel SK. During a challenging period the club placed enormous trust in me and I always felt supported. The chance to return to England and work for a major club is one I am eager to seize. I would like to thank all the players, staff, office personnel and especially the supporters for the past 18 months. I wish you all the very best!”
