Hans Vanaken started his football career in the youth of the then Lommel SK and returned to the Lommel club after a period with the youth of PSV Eindhoven, where he grew into a key player between 2010 and 2013. In four seasons in the Sovereign Stadium, Hans played 85 games for the club from his hometown.
