Toon is a Belgian youth product of Lommel SK and he made his first-team debut against SV Zulte Waregem this season at the age of 18. The fact that Toon can now sign a first professional contract for our club is partly thanks to the excellent work of our youth academy. Toon has signed a contract for 2 years.

Performance Director James McCarron: "We are delighted to be able to announce the signing of one of our own - Toon Franssen. After progressing through our Academy, Toon has continued to impress whilst training and playing with the first team in recent months. We are looking forward to helping Toon to continue to develop in the coming years."

Toon himself is also very proud to sign his first professional contract. "I grew up at this club and they have given us opportunities from childhood. I would like to thank the entire youth department for participating in my development as a player. Now I look forward to continuing to develop with the first team and getting as many playing minutes as possible in the coming seasons. The club has a clear ambition and as a boy from the region it is then very special to be able to contribute to this."

Toon, congratulations on your first professional contract. Toon Franssen Grown in Lommel
