Preview SL16 - Lommel SK Men 25 jan After last weekend's postponed match, it is time to look the young men of SL16 in the eye for a second time this season. A win against the number 14 in the standings seems necessary to stay in the unseen exciting lead of the standings. Looking ahead to the match, we do so with the player who perhaps felt most at home in the winter conditions last week, Juho Talvitie.

The youth teams often contain more quality than their points tally indicates, Talvitie also sees. "They are often teams with especially a lot of individual qualities. Like every week, it will be a difficult match. It's up to us to show up better as a team and certainly not underestimate them."

Last weekend, the chance to really connect back with the top was postponed for a while. Despite hard labour by our greenkeepers, the pitch was not declared ready for play. "I was sorry that the match against Beerschot did not go ahead. Logical of course, but a pity. You always look forward to the big matches anyway. I also think it would have been a good match, as we are both in pretty good form at the moment."

So now the focus is on SL16. Juho himself seems to have captured a regular starting spot and hopes to continue that line. "I am happy with the minutes I am getting. For me, it's now a matter of starting to link statistics with good performances as well. I am also sure that those statistics will follow if I keep working hard and playing well, although of course the most important thing remains the three points for the team," Juho concludes. SL16
