CEO Mike Green: “The youth operation of Lommel SK continues to grow and we are pleased that with this agreement we can continue to ensure a great offer to all existing members but that, in addition, we can also offer footballing girls the opportunity from next season to develop at the same level. After warm and intense discussions with LUWS and Stad Lommel, we are proud to announce that our club will start offering girl’s football at our youth site from the start of the 2024-2025 season.”

Head of Academy Kristof Van Hout: “We are delighted that we will be able to offer girl’s football at our site from the start of next season. As a matter of fact, we will soon welcome any girl who likes to play football for open sessions. Of course, we will also continue to guide our other youth members with the same warmth and expertise.”

Alderman for Sport of Stad Lommel Dirk Vanderhoydonks: “After months of preparatory talks, we are pleased to announce that our professional football club Lommel SK, LUWS and Stad Lommel have come to an agreement to provide the same development opportunities for both Lommel girls and boys starting from the next football season. At the club’s youth site, both boys and girls will soon be able to train and play within a contemporary maintained infrastructure, under the flag of Lommel SK.”

The club is organising an open training session for all interested girls on Sunday 14 April. You will find more info on this soon on our channels.
